After careful evaluation and consideration of multiple contractor bids, The Hermitage HOA has successfully completed critical repairs and improvements to our community pond's infrastructure. The project, which was awarded to the most cost-effective of three competing contractors, focused on enhancing the pond's water level control and drainage system.
A state-of-the-art siphon system designed in consultation with a Hermitage HOA board member was installed to provide additional control over water levels, particularly during maintenance operations or emergency situations. This system gives our community more flexibility in managing the pond's water levels while reducing strain on the primary spillway.
Previously, extensive dredging work was completed to remove years of accumulated silt that had built up from erosion along the pond's feeder streams. This critical maintenance restored the pond's original depth and water capacity.
By selecting the most competitive bid while maintaining high quality standards, the HOA demonstrated good stewardship of community resources while ensuring the long-term stability and functionality of our beloved pond.
